This is particularly the case of Natacha Perraud and Erine Martinet, both from Romont, who participated in the event for the first time. They praise good organization, which allows you to approach the course and the events calmly. “When we arrived on Friday, the boxes were ready to welcome the horses, during the course, there is the refreshment point for eating, as well as fountains for the horses,” lists Erine Martinet. “The organization is perfect,” agrees Natacha Perraud. The two riders from Friborg are already certain to return next year.

“Without restrictions and more rustic”

In 20 years of existence, the Franches Equi Trail has had time to find the right formula so that everything goes as well as possible. “We have a system that works, we have been in the know for a long time,” says Anaïs Gunsch. With her sister Morgane Donzé, they took over the presidency of the event following their mother, but some members of the committee have been there from the very beginning. This is particularly the case for cashier Christian Luder.

Before the creation of the Franches Equi Trail, an official trek was organized for three consecutive years. “It took place over two days and there were a lot of constraints,” remembers Christian Luder. After reflection, the committee at the time decided to create an event “without restrictions and more rural”. Thus was born the Franches Equi Trail, an event which is inspired by the obstacles of treks, but in a more relaxed atmosphere.
