The verdict fell at 9 a.m. this morning at the Pornichet Convention Center during a ceremony announcing the winners and awarding prizes. In France, 505 sites have obtained the Blue Flag, the first international label for sustainable tourism for beaches and marinas developed by the Teragir association.
As the summer period approaches, this year the label rewards 398 beaches, 106 marinas and 1 boat which implement a development policy that respects the environment and people.

The Occitanie, South and New Aquitaine regions in the top 3 of the rankings

This year, the Occitanie region and the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region have 246 sites, which represents half of the total number of labeled beaches and ports in France (49%). Occitanie once again tops the list with 107 beaches and 20 ports, or 127 sites. With 119 winners, the South region follows closely in the ranking with 91 beaches and 28 ports which will be able to hoist the blue flag this summer. In 3rd place, Nouvelle-Aquitaine has 58 labeled sites: 55 beaches, 2 ports and 1 boat.

In Gironde:

– Bordeaux: Lake beach,
– Grayan and the Hospital: Le Gurp, Dépine Beach (Euronat),
– Hourtin Hourtin Océan, Lac La Jetée (Port beach), Lac Piqueyrot,
– Le Verdon-sur-Mer: Chambrette Beach (Estuary), Saint-Nicolas Ocean Beach,
– Soulac-sur-Mer: L’Amélie, Central Beach, Naïades Beach.

In Lot-et-Garonne:

– Lougratte Lac de Lougratte.

On the marina side: in Gironde, the Port de la Vigne is certified.
