A new storm was named a few hours ago by the Irish Weather Service. Her name is Ashley and she’s heading to northwest Europe.

This storm arrives in a delicate context, while France has been affected by significant bad weather over the last two weeks, with the passage of ex-hurricanes Kirk and Leslie.

Ashley is not heading to France!

While France has been affected by catastrophic floods for almost three days, Storm Ashley, very fortunately, heading towards Ireland and the northern British Isles.

France should therefore remain on the sidelines of this storm, which could cause violent gusts of wind between Sunday evening and Monday in Ireland and the north of the British Isles. The strongest winds are expected over northwest England, north Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Gusts could approach 110 to 130 km/h. Inland, winds should be less strong, but the weather conditions still promise to be very rough in these regions.

France should therefore remain on the sidelines of this storm. However, rains and stronger winds are expected in the north-western regions for the day of Sunday. Here are the latest forecasts for this weekend.

Further rain is therefore unfortunately forecast for this day in the west of France with the arrival of a new disruption.
