The Department alongside the municipalities

The Standing Commission voted for significant credits for the realization of municipal projects:

  • Vote for an individualization of €52,880.40 for 4 municipalities eligible for the “Small towns of tomorrow” program as part of the carrying out of project studies (Marans, Montendre, Pont-l’Abbé-d’Arnoult and Surgères ).
  • Approval of the evolution of departmental aid schemes for municipalities.
  • Granting of a subsidy of €49,135 to the municipality of for the development of Port Larousselle.
  • Approval of an agreement concluded between the Department and the municipality of Marans regarding the financing of work on the land areas of the port of Marans.
  • Vote on a report relating to a new individualization towards 69 municipalities of the envelope of police fines in 2023 for an amount of €1,125,184.29 (cantons of Surgères, Châtelaillon-Plage, Jonzac, Matha, Chaniers, Saint-Jean d’Angély, Pons, Île d’Oléron, La Jarrie, Marans, Tonnay-Charente, Île de Ré, Trois Monts, Lagord, Thénac, Marennes, Saujon, Saintonge-Estuaire, Aytré and Saint-Porchaire).
  • Vote for individualization of operations carried out within the framework of the Heat Fund and the Department’s Energy Fund: €28,140 for the commune of Bourgneuf (boiler room of the future school group), €115,430.46 for the commune of Jonzac (extension of the heating network) and €20,274.17 for the town of Bourgneuf (development of a boiler room).

Medical attractiveness: the health plan in full swing

The Standing Commission voted for new aid in favor of access to care in the Department: training aid for a doctor wishing to become an internship supervisor, aid for training in advanced practice for a nurse and a campaign of communication aimed at internal doctors and general practitioners (participation in the 2024 national congress of teaching general practitioners), for a total amount of €40,800.

Support for farmers and rural areas

The Department alongside the agricultural world in the current difficult context: vote for 2 aid for the installation of young farmers (cantons of Saint-Jean d’Angély and Saintonge-Estuaire) and subsidies for 4 farmers in difficulty (cantons of Île de Ré, Trois Monts, Pons and Saint-Jean d’Angély).
Individualization of operations programmed by 21 structures, as part of the 2024 departmental rural equipment program, for a total amount of €439,912.

Social solidarity, the heart of the Department’s business

Child protection: vote on a report relating to the strengthening of the agreement concluded between the Department, the State and the ARS, as part of the implementation of the national strategy for prevention and protection of children childhood.
Digital inclusion: the Standing Committee also approved the signing of agreements aimed at deploying digital passes as part of our policy to support digital uses.

Environmental policy: extension of sensitive natural areas and water policy

The Department is continuing its policy of promoting and acquiring remarkable biodiversity areas to be protected (plots in Couarde-sur-Mer, Rivedoux-Plage, Saint-Thomas-de-Conac and Saint-Georges d’Oléron).
The Standing Commission voted for subsidies to Eau 17 as part of the Re-sources program for the rehabilitation of boreholes and monitoring of water quality, for a total amount of €276,160.

Soft mobility

Voting for a financial contribution from the Department as part of the Everyday Plan for the implementation of developments on the “Saint-Laurent-de-la-Prée /Fouras” cycle route – total amount of €670,000.

Fight against coastal erosion

The Standing Commission has voted on several measures in this direction: study of different scenarios concerning the coastal strip of the Île d’Oléron (Partnership Department/Community of Communes of the Île d’Oléron/Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region/Fonds national d’Oléron land use planning and development); sand transfer operation as part of the significant erosion of Matha beach on the Île d’Oléron (€97,180.98 incl. VAT).

Departmental cultural policy

The Standing Commission voted for subsidies in favor of the development of public reading (purchase of equipment, development work) for 3 municipalities (Boisredon, Semussac and Nieulle-sur-Seudre) for a total amount of 38,820.87 €.
