The Lycée CCI Gard: an establishment committed to the future of young people and local businesses

Located in the heart of Nîmes, in the Triangle de la Gare district, the Lycée CCI benefits from a privileged location, close to public transport. Its history dates back to 1962, when the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gard acquired a building to set up its technical school, formerly located on rue Monjardin. Since 1980, the establishment has been under an association contract with the State, offering professional training in close collaboration with local businesses.

A prestigious label renewed

Since 2014, the Lycée CCI Gard has been proud to carry the label “Lycée des professions de la vente et des services aux enterprises”, a distinction which was renewed for five years on September 2. This label, awarded by the rector of the academy, highlights the establishment’s skills in terms of professional training and cooperation with businesses. It also promotes students’ paths to success, enabling them to continue their studies or enter the world of work over the long term.

Demanding criteria

To obtain this label, the high school responded to rigorous specifications based on eight national criteria. Among them, a coherent professional training offer, the reception of varied audiences, adapted courses, as well as an active partnership with the local economic fabric. The Lycée CCI Gard also stands out for its cultural activities and its international outlook, in particular thanks to initiatives to prevent school dropouts.

Training in line with market needs

The Lycée CCI Gard continues to innovate to meet the demands of the job market. In 2023, two new orientations were created within the professional baccalaureates offered by the establishment. The professional baccalaureate “Hospitality professions” now specializes in tourism and heritage, offering students the opportunity to participate in discovery trips and internships abroad. For its part, the professional baccalaureate “Commercial and sales professions” is oriented towards entrepreneurship, with local and national professional challenges.

Strong partnerships with local businesses

One of the strengths of the Lycée CCI Gard lies in its close link with local businesses. Thanks to its business club, created in 2014, the school organizes events each year to encourage meetings between young people and professionals. Challenges, company visits and internship dating punctuate the school year, thus strengthening the professional integration of students. As the only private vocational school affiliated with a Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it benefits from a unique proximity to the local economic world.

An international opening thanks to Erasmus+

Since 2000, the Lycée CCI Gard has set up an International Relay to facilitate projects abroad and internships in companies. Thanks to this system and the Erasmus+ program, students can go to many European countries, such as Sweden, Germany, Spain and Ireland. Regular exchanges with European volunteers present at the high school reinforce this openness, allowing students to practice English and Spanish on a daily basis.

Exemplary exam results

The excellence of the establishment is reflected in the results obtained by the students. For the 2024 session of the professional baccalaureate, the success rate reached 94.2%, well above the national average set at 83%. BTS students also show remarkable results with a success rate of 90.3%, compared to 84% nationally.

The Lycée CCI Gard continues to position itself as a key player in professional training in the Gard, offering young people opportunities for success and support towards professional integration, while meeting the needs of local and international companies.
