The Xiaomi Watch H1 E wrist blood pressure monitor is now more readily available in China. The watch launched in early October in select brick-and-mortar stores, but has only recently become available on the company’s websites.

The H1 E is similar to the H1 launched last year. The main difference between the two versions appears to be the ECG included in the original model, and removed in the more recent H1 E. Additionally, the H1 is certified by the FDA, while the H1 E is certified by an equivalent authority based in Beijing. One of the benefits of the H1 E seems to be taking automatic measurements while you sleep based on conditions; During the day, reminders are sent to you to take a measurement manually. Other than that, both watches have most of the same features, such as the oscillometric method of measuring blood pressure using a built-in micro-air pump, which is estimated to be accurate to 3 mmHg.

Other tools include Bluetooth calls, tracking biometric data such as heart rate, skin temperature and blood oxygen levels, and exercise recording with over 100 sports modes . The device features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 px and can run for up to 9 days under normal usage. Despite the lack of an ECG, the price of the H1 E is CNY 1,899 (~$267), which is only CNY 100 (~$14) less than the suggested retail price of the older H1. It is not yet known if and when the wearable device can be released in other markets, such as Europe. In the meantime, residents of countries like Germany can buy a competing model like the Huawei Watch D2 (currently 405.99 euros).
