The Jura poet, writer and autonomist Alexandre Voisard died in the night from Monday to Tuesday at the age of 94, his family said on Tuesday. Author of the poem “Ode to the country that does not want to die”, he contributed to the cultural awakening of the canton.

The death announced by the Quotidien Jura was confirmed by the family of Alexandre Voisard. A long-time resident of , the Ajoulot writer was hospitalized in Porrentruy (JU).
