A cocoa air hung over Geneva this weekend. 12 artisan chocolatiers from the four corners of the city had their delicacies tasted for the tenth edition of the Chocolate Rally. The sweet ride has delighted the taste buds of several thousand enthusiasts.
It is crunchy, sometimes fruity and always tasty. The Chocolate Rally was on the menu for the weekend. For its 10th anniversary, the event brought together 4,500 enthusiasts who were able to taste the delicacies of 12 artisan chocolatiers. A popular meeting place for the best local confectioners.
On the theme “Grué and fruit ganache”, the creations are surprising. At the best worker in France Christophe Renou, for example, we associated Yuzu with Piedmont hazelnuts. A recipe that does not deviate from the golden rule: “We make chocolates and cakes for adults, but we enjoy them with our childhood memories,” confides the pastry chef.

Among the three cocoa courses of the rally, new this year, a 100% Bean-to-bar category. From bean to bar, public awareness of sustainable development in the cocoa sector remains a priority, underlines the founder of the event and the chocolatiers’ show, Lise Luka.
In addition to chocolate, new derivatives such as cocoa pulp juice are tasted. The curious are pleasantly surprised. As a result of symbolic recognition, prizes are awarded. This year, the jury prizes go to Mérigonde and the DuRhône chocolate factory. Guillaume Bichet, DuRhône and La Bombonnière were popular with the public who left with a happy stomach.
