Thirteen years after winning his first Quinté+ at in the Prix du Forez with Quisling d’Anjou, Franck Delanoë won a second event on Saturday in thanks to Gard. Quickly in the lead, the son of Quid de Chahains won from start to finish, once again equipped with an American “Yankee” type sulky. Not that of Éric Raffin this time, since the Vendée driver was on the track at Cordemais, but with that of François Lagadeuc who has also recently equipped himself with this new sulky. “Franck Delanoë wanted his horse to race again today with this sulky, which is why he contacted me” François Lagadeuc told us. “The horse repeated its last outing beautifully. We broke away in the last turn and my partner managed to go to the end. This sulky definitely helps him.”

Helios Somolli finished well to take second place, as the favorite Goldy Smile who made a good final effort to grab fourth place, finishing very close to Kid from Maheyalso author of a good final effort after trotting in the second part of the peloton, Gipsy Thoris completing the good combination of Quinté+.
