Between the July 15 and August 22 2024, the brigade of gendarmerie of Villers-sur-Mer and the research brigade of the company gendarmerie of Deauville (Calvados) announce that they have recorded 6 thefts of carts without a license committed in the municipalities of Pont-l’Évêque, Dozulé, Villers-sur-Mer, Saint-Pierre-Azif and Dives-sur-Mer.

In a press release, the captain Laurent Martin de Morestelcommander of the company gendarmerie de Deauville returns to the investigation which made it possible to identify and then arrest the perpetrators of the thefts.

“The investigations carried out within the framework of the exploitation of video surveillance on an act committed on the night of July 19 to 20 in Saint-Pierre-Azif demonstrate the presence of two vehicles undoubtedly involved in the theft of a cart” indicates the military.

After identification, these two vehicles direct the investigators towards a individual very unfavorably known for similar facts. The man in question lives in Eure.

A second individual identified
