The departments of Seine-Saint-Denis and Hauts-de-Seine and their partners are launching a new event around walking and taste: the “Gastronomic Hikes of Greater ”.

The event will be held on Sunday October 6 and will offer unique gourmet discoveries, with routes designed to awaken the senses and explore the gastronomic riches of one or another territory. Most hikes will converge towards Communale, which is the largest food court in Europe, located in Saint-Ouen.

Ten new gastronomic walks are offered on October 6 and led by experts.

Each experience is an immersion in local history, cultures and flavors, through carefully selected itineraries:

• Croque Saint-Ouen: A gastronomic stroll around Saint-Ouen, guided by Anouk Colombani, discovering local flavors and artisans.

• History of cuisine and migration: A walk from La Chapelle to Communale, with Raphaëlle Gras, exploring the links between migration and gastronomy.

• Gastronomic hike along the Seine: From Lil’Ô to Communale, with Eric Ollivier, a gourmet walk that follows the course of the Seine.

• Exploration of Saint-Ouen: the new gourmet event at the Portes de Paris, organized by the “POP” Attractiveness Agency.

• World gastronomy around Communale: With Donatien Schramm, discover international flavors in this bustling district.

• Gourmet hike in Hauts-de-Seine: From Asnière to Saint-Ouen via , a gentle stroll to drink and eat.

• Gourmet bike ride in Hauts-de-Seine: Organic brewery, ecological farm, vegetarian recipes, a beautiful short circuit route.

• From the Saint-Denis Market to the Petite Casa: Taste aromatic herbs then explore the abundant Saint-Denis market with the Bastina association

• The Panifixion minibakery: Not really a stroll, but a real discovery, this bakery self-managed voluntarily by a small group of residents.

In addition to these walks, there will be culinary workshops at the Landy neighborhood center in Saint-Denis, as well as in the shared kitchen at Communale. During these workshops, participants will be able to recreate some of the specialties that they have previously discovered during their walks.

Communale will also provide access via a guided tour to market stalls and restaurants, in order to discover and become familiar with the behind the scenes of this gigantic food court. This will also be an opportunity to meet the artisans and certain chefs who work there daily.
