Rabat – The Moroccan tourism sector continues on its exceptional momentum, reaching a new historic milestone with the reception of 13.1 million visitors at the end of September 2024, the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Industry announced on Wednesday. ‘Social and Solidarity Economy.

This remarkable performance represents an increase of around 2 million tourists compared to the same period in 2023, highlighting the growing dynamics of the Morocco destination on the international tourism scene, indicates a press release from the ministry.

The month of September was particularly remarkable, welcoming 1.3 million tourists, an increase of 33% compared to September 2023, the ministry said, noting that the number of foreign tourists jumped 40% for that same month. .

“The Moroccan Momentum is undeniable. Under the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, our country is increasingly shining internationally. Our targeted efforts, in line with our roadmap, are bearing fruit,” indicated the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor.

And note that the significant increase in air connections, promotional campaigns, as well as the development of modern infrastructure and attractive tourist experiences contribute to this exceptional dynamism.

“This new record for tourist arrivals fills us with pride and strengthens our determination to achieve our ambitious target of 26 million visitors by 2030,” she concluded.
