The Kirk depression, which hits the country this Wednesday, October 9, has arrived in Gironde. The department was placed on yellow alert by Météo France and gusts of 109 km/h were recorded in the department.
Although the department remains less affected than others (such as Vendée, the Pays de la Loire or the Paris region), the worst of the storm is expected in the afternoon and evening from October 9. Here is what is planned next, weather-wise, in Gironde.
Forecasts for the next few days
Gironde is placed on yellow alert regarding gusts of wind until 9 p.m. this Wednesday. On Thursday October 10, he was no longer placed under surveillance. Showers are however expected, with temperatures around 16 degrees.
However, strong wind gusts remain likely, reaching 70 km/h around Bordeaux and Libourne and 85 km/h near Arcachon. The weather should then gradually soften, with sunnier skies this weekend.
