Judoka aged 54 living in Domont, David Vignollesis one of the torchbearers of the Olympic flamewhich will pass through 18 municipalities of Val d’Oise July 19.

“I had this opportunity thanks to my employer, the Banque Populaire Rives de Parispremium partner of the games”, explains this father of two children aged 15 and 10, member of the regional commission of the grades as’assessor for 1er and 2e dan. He himself is in full preparation for his 5e dan.

“I started judo at the age of 7 at the Judo club in Maule in the Yvelines. I practiced the savateTHE karate up to the brown belt and the American boxing in my younger years,” confides this martial arts enthusiast, who went through the Expertise and Sports Performance Resource Centers (Creps) of Châtenay-Malabry (Hauts-de-Seine) and Wasquehal (North), as well as theOlympic Racing Institutehas Paris.

“I taught in different clubs in the capital as well as in primary schools, as part of Blue contracts (judo discovery program for children, Editor’s note), in partnership with the City of Paris and the French Judo Federation 1994 to 1996,” remembers David Vignolles.

Budokaï-domontois since 1996

He joined the Budokaï-domontois judo club in October 1996, where I am still a teacher. » The club has grown a lot with more than 250 licenseesit now has departmental, regional and even national influence,” smiles the judoka.

Customer advisor at Banque Populaire Rives de Paris since 2003, David Vignolles works at the Domont-Ézanville branch. “Being part of scouts of the Olympic torch relay is a great honour”, concludes the banker who is impatiently waiting to experience this “great moment”.
