“Sacred detonation”, “The house shook”, “A deafening boom”. Many Internet users felt the earthquake this Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 8:19 a.m. in the country of Vannes (Morbihan). In one hour, the Ouest-France Vannes Facebook page already had 363 comments.

And some Internet users were wondering about this repetition of earthquakes since already on Friday October 4, two tremors of magnitudes 2.9 and 2.1 had been recorded then a third this Saturday October 5 at 6:09 a.m., of weaker magnitude (1 ,9). The depth of this new earthquake, the epicenter of which would be close to Auray, this Sunday 6, would be 5 km.
According to the French Central and Seismological Bureau – National Seismic Monitoring Network (BCSF-Rénass), this earthquake had an intensity of 2.8 magnitude, a figure which remains to be refined.
