The Indre-et- gendarmerie launched a call for witnesses on Monday. On Wednesday, the police announced on Facebook that the body of the sixty-year-old, missing since October 30 in the town of Monts, was found lifeless.

Lilou Fontenille, 64, had not heard from her loved ones since October 30 and had missed several medical appointments. Those around him, worried, reported his disappearance on November 9. According to La Nouvelle République, the body was found “half submerged below a ditch” late Tuesday afternoon by a relative near Île du Moulin, in Monts. His bike was also recovered not far away by gendarmerie divers.

The police have for the moment ruled out the criminal trail and the intervention of a third party in the death of the 64-year-old woman, favoring for the moment a malaise or an accident, specifies the local daily.
