The car was blocking access to the parking lot. So the police decided to check its occupants. And the fishing was good. In Villejuif, the anti-crime brigade (BAC) arrested two men suspected of being involved in drug trafficking on Saturday afternoon.
Around 6:30 p.m., rue Paul-Bert, an artery located in the city center just behind the town hall and Pablo-Neruda park, officials were patrolling by car when they spotted this vehicle with two people on board obstructing access to garages. The suspects immediately fled to avoid control. A quick chase begins in the parking lot and then runs.
The BAC manages to catch up with them and arrest them. They found 800 g of weed and cannabis resin in their vehicle. Above all, the police discovered nearly 24,000 euros of cash on the two suspects: around 4,000 euros for one and more than 20,000 euros for the other.
Both were placed in police custody at the Kremlin-Bicêtre police station, which was responsible for the investigation into the acquisition, possession, transport, offer and sale of narcotics.
Two days earlier, on May 2, still in Villejuif, the police also saw a simple check lead to a successful case, Allée du Vercors. While checking on a group of four people who smelled of cannabis, one of them became nervous and started sweating profusely. He spontaneously gave them the few grams of narcotics he had on him. He admitted to serving as a nanny for drug traffickers.
But the police want to go further, they continue the check in the lobby of the neighboring building and find drugs, a notice board with resale prices, etc. They decide to go to the suspect’s home to conduct a search. There they discovered a handgun, a Tokarev pistol with 7.62 mm caliber ammunition, account books for drug trafficking, a knife, more than 4 kg of weed and cannabis resin. In total, nearly 6 kg of drugs were seized during this operation.
