In application of royal instructions, the commission decided to extend the duration of emergency aid payments amounting to 2.500 dirhams to families whose homes have partially or completely collapsed, after the completion of the operation of emergency aid payments in the amount of 2,500 dirhams monthly, which had been set for a duration of 12 months, for a total cost of 1.7 billion dirhamsindicates a press release from the Department of the Head of Government.

The commission noted the issue at the end of last September of 56,095 authorizations reconstruction and the progress of reconstruction and rehabilitation projects at the level of 50,807 housing units damaged, adds the same source, noting that the operation to clear debris from collapsed homes having reached its final stages, the commission confirmed the launch of the implementation of field solutions concerning 1,700 homes located in areas with complicated terrain.

The commission also established that 57,703 families received a first payment of 20.000 dirhams for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of their totally or partially collapsed housing, that 26,110 families received the second payment, which 12,839 families received the third payment and that 1,868 families received the fourth and final payment, for a total amount of more than 2 billion dirhams.

The commission also looked at the progress of the upgrade work on the four road axes making up the N7 national road over a length of 64 kilometers for an overall budget of 665 million dirhamsspecifies the press release, noting that it thus noted the creation of 4 regional equipment teams, equipped with 37 machines to be reinforced by 9 additional machines, for an overall budget of 160 million dirhams.

In the health sector, after the completion of the work on the first tranche relating to the upgrade of 42 priority health centersthe commission noted the launch of work on the second tranche relating to the upgrade or reconstruction of 153 health centers for a cost of 532 million dirhamswe note.

Regarding the agricultural sector, at the end of last September, free distribution of 30,510 head of cattle for the benefit of 3,051 breederswe explain, noting that the commission was able to note the return to service of the various damaged seguias, as well as the imminent completion of operations to repair small and medium-sized hydraulic works in these regions and the restoration of the damage caused to the water points intended for watering livestock, in addition to the completion of the planned operation to rehabilitate 54 kilometers of rural paths.

At the level of the education sector, 127 schools were able to reopen during the current school year, while the rehabilitation work continues at the level of 42 educational establishments to be ready at the end of next November, thus completing the first phase of the operation to rehabilitate damaged educational establishments.

The commission also took stock of the progress of work on the second tranche of planned operations for the rehabilitation and construction of educational establishments, so that these projects can be completed within the allotted time frame.

In this regard, the commission recommended the acceleration of the presentation of the implementation program for the third tranche of planned operations for the rehabilitation and construction of educational establishments.

In the tourism sector, the commission noted the treatment of 258 requests in order to benefit from financial support for a total of 386 requests presented by classified tourist reception establishments affected by the earthquake.

So, 153 tourist reception establishments benefited from the first tranche of support for a budget of 50 million dirhams, in addition to the payment of the second tranche of support which benefited 13 establishments for an amount of 6 million dirhams.

In terms of the social and solidarity economy, the committee noted the submission of 173 application files support for cooperatives for an overall budget of 29 million dirhamscontinues the same source, adding that the payment of the first, second and third installments continues for the support of 166 cooperativesfor a budget that has reached so far 7 million dirhams.

In the industry and commerce sector, the commission noted the payment of the first tranche of support for the benefit of 153 street vendorsas well as the upcoming completion of rehabilitation works on the “Tlat n’Yacoub” market in the province of Al Haouz, which includes 118 points of sale.

The commission finally looked at the rehabilitation projects of several walls and archaeological sites damaged by the earthquake, numbering 23 projectsof which 8 projects are in progress, for a total budget of more than 130 million dirhamsconcludes the press release.
