Since Tuesday, October 15, millions of French people have been called upon to be vaccinated against the flu, which affects two to six million people each year, according to Santé Publique . For the 2024-2025 campaign, 146,214 Sarthoisaffiliated with the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM), are invited to receive a dose of flu vaccine. This is 3.6% more than last year.

During the 2023-2024 vaccination campaign, 51% of the Sarthois concerned were vaccinated, or nearly 72,000 people. A rate higher than at the national level (46.1%). This year again, it is possible to get vaccinated against the flu and against Covid-19 at the same timeor offset, without the need to wait for a specific delay in between.

Who is affected?

Against these two diseases, the High Authority of Health recommends vaccination for immunocompromised people, who suffer from obesity, chronic illnesses, pregnant women and seniors. 65 years and over. How to get vaccinated?

If you are one of the people invited to get your flu vaccine, you will receive a support voucher from Health Insurance. You can also ask your doctor for one. This allows you not to pay for the vaccine. On the other hand, if you are not considered a priority, you will have to buy your dose in a pharmacy and then be vaccinated by the professional of your choice: doctor, midwife, pharmacist or nurse.

When to get vaccinated?
