Consumption: Espresso is the most popular coffee in Switzerland

Although Switzerland is not a coffee producing country, it is nonetheless a global player in the coffee market. If we consider the value of the goods, which amounts to 3.2 billion francs, coffee is the most exported agricultural product. Switzerland is thus the second largest coffee exporter in the world, after Brazil. Karine Szegedi, manager at Deloitte, explains the Swiss success: “Traders benefit from an ecosystem that supports and facilitates their activities. In addition, the State offers a stable environment as well as legal certainty for business.”
