An accident occurred on rue de Breteuil, an extension of rue Saint-Médard, in Montdidier on the afternoon of Friday, May 3, shortly before 4 p.m. It involved three cars, including a parked vehicle, a Peugeot 107.
A Mercedes and a Citroën C1 collided as they crossed paths.
The Mercedes then crashed into the concrete barrier overlooking the 3 Doms watercourse below.
Firefighters from Montdidier and Moreuil intervened, as well as the gendarmerie.
Three young people were impacted: a 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old young man in one of the cars, the Mercedes according to our sources, and a 22-year-old young man in the other, the Citroën C1. The three people were only slightly injured and were transferred to the Montdidier hospital center.
Failure to give priority and likely speeding caused the collision.
Traffic was cut off in part of rue Saint-Médard while emergency services intervened and the damaged cars were removed.
The Montdidier gendarmerie company focuses on hunting down priority refusals and speeding, factors that are found in many accidents in the area.
