From this study, it appears that Belgium is the 19th most expensive country to travel to in Europe. With a daily budget of 128 euros. Expenses much higher than Serbia (+95€) but much less expensive than in Switzerland (-111€) or (-50€).

Laos at the top, Serbia well ranked

Among the 15 cheapest destinations to travel, only one European country makes a place in the ranking. With a budget of €33 per day, Serbia is fifteenth.

The cheapest country is Laos (12€), ahead of Kazakhstan (17€) and Rwanda (19€). Destinations close to Europe, Armenia and Georgia are in the top 10.

Switzerland is the most expensive European country, the Caribbean Islands globally

For travelers with a bigger budget, here are the 15 most expensive destinations. This time, three European countries have slipped into the ranking: Switzerland in 6th place, Liechtenstein 11th and Monaco 14th.

With a budget of €311 per day, Barbados is the country that requires the highest expenses. It is ahead of two other Caribbean countries: Antigua and Barbuda (€291) and Saint Kitts and Nevis (€256). In 7th place we find the United States with a daily budget of 235 euros.

Belgium cheaper than its neighbors

At the European level, Switzerland is therefore ahead of Liechtenstein and Monaco. France is fourth (€178), ahead of Iceland (€171), Luxembourg (€165), Greece (€165), the United Kingdom (€162), Denmark (€161) and the Countries -Low (158€). Germany’s budget is 136€ per day. Belgium’s four neighboring countries therefore all require higher spending.

Out of 39 European countries compared, Serbia is the least expensive destination (33€), far ahead of Poland (54€), Belarus (55€), Bulgaria (57€) and Bosnia-Herzegovina (61€) .
