Sainte-Brigitte-de-: a man in crisis causes a stir

A possibly armed man in crisis has kept police officers on edge for at least ten hours in Sainte-Brigitte-de-, forcing the evacuation of certain sectors.

The event began around 10 a.m. Monday morning on Kildare Street, where a large police deployment is still underway at the time of writing. Around 8 p.m. Monday evening, the siege was still not over.

Several homes in surrounding streets were evacuated as a preventative measure.

Although the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) does not reveal any information on this subject “so as not to harm the ongoing investigation”, our information reveals that an armed man in crisis would be at the center of this affair.

The latter would be barricaded in a residence in the area. The Tactical Intervention Group (GTI) is also on the scene.

The City of Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval announced on its social networks that Kildare Street is closed to traffic between Rue des Matricaires and Avenue Sainte-Brigitte for an indefinite period.
