Anas Guennoun, founder and managing partner of the investment bank West Capital Partners, was recently appointed president of the Morocco-United Arab Emirates Business Council, succeeding Majid Iraqui.

Anas Guennoun, a graduate in Finance from Dauphine University, began his career in 2000 at the investment bank of Société Générale, where he notably advised, for 5 years, large French groups in capital transactions. cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

He co-founded and co-directed, between 2005 and 2017, various Private Equity platforms in North Africa (Société Générale Asset Management, Amundi, Abraaj), with the raising of more than 600 million USD from foreign institutional investors. (IFC, Proparco, EBRD, EIB, DEG, FMO, BII…).

He has served on the boards of directors of portfolio companies and family groups in Morocco, as well as on the investment committee of various investment funds with his involvement in transactions carried out in Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt.

Anas Guennoun declared himself, in a press release, “particularly enthusiastic about the idea of ​​contributing, through the Business Council, to the revitalization of relations and commercial exchanges between our two countries”, whose links have strengthened following the signing of the strategic agreement on December 4, 2023, in Abu Dhabi.

In addition to his numerous activities in the business world, Anas Guennoun, married and father of three children, is vice-president of the Bab Rayan Association, dedicated to the protection of orphans, and administrator and outgoing president of the Education for Employment Maroc foundation.
