The race for the regional miss elections continues. This Saturday, September 28, 2024, Mélissa Atta Bessiom was elected Miss Pays de la Loire in Château-Gontier in Mayenne, succeeding Clémence Ménard. She will try to win the coveted title of Miss France 2025 on December 14. The 25-year-old young woman was born in London to a French mother and a Cameroonian father. Already in active life, she lives in Anger. After obtaining a master’s degree at the Institut Mines Télécom, in Évry, and a second master’s degree in Taiwan, she makes a living from her passion: fashion. The new beauty queen is project manager in artificial intelligence at the luxury house Louis Vuitton. “I’m in shock, I have to notify my work, because I told them see you Monday”, she revealed to West Franceafter winning his crown.
In addition to fashion, Miss Pays de la Loire 2024 loves to travel and shares her many excursions around the world on her Instagram account, such as in Portugal, Thailand and Mauritius. The young woman also loves sport. Mélissa Atta Bessiom is a committed woman. Long self-conscious about her size, she decided to turn it into a strength and even a battle. “I’m 1.80 m tall, I wear size 43. When I was in college, I wore men’s shoes and people made fun of me”, she confided to our colleagues. She also revealed: “Gradually, I gained self-confidence, I accepted my size and I realized that it was an asset.” With her title, she wants to help women have confidence in themselves. “As Miss Pays de la Loire, I want to defend women and push them to have confidence in themselves. This is what I already do on my social networks where I try to support tall women so that they accept themselves”, she explained to West France.

Just after winning her crown, she confided to our colleagues: “There, I will have preparations for the Miss France competition, official photos, portrait and interview shoots.” She looks forward to “discover a new universe, (…) and be in December”.
