The series of burglaries in shops and technical premises continues in Seine-Maritime

The series of burglaries which has been overwhelming the Pays de Bray since the beginning of September 2024 continues, yet the gendarmerie is mobilized on the ground. This weekend, new stores, municipal buildings, private homes and associations were targeted by thieves in the area of Forges-les-EauxAnd The Leaf.

Door broken with a sledgehammer

The Gamm vert store located in Forges-les-Eaux was visited between Friday 20 and Sunday 22 September 2024. The thieves entered the premises by jumping over the gate.

They climbed over the fence of the garden centre area to grab a sledgehammer which they used to break down one of the aluminium doors leading inside the store and enter the administrative part of the store. The thieves stole cash.

An attempt at the Café de la Gare

In the neighboring town of Serqueux, on the night of Sunday 22 to Monday 23 September, the Café de la Gare was the target of burglars. Around 4:30 in the morning, the owners were alerted of an intrusion into the business thanks to the alarm and the video system. The intruders fled without stealing anything.

For these two cases, criminal identification technicians went to the scene to collect the first clues so that the soldiers from the autonomous gendarmerie brigade of Forges-les-Eaux could continue their investigations.

Journey to municipal buildings

During the same night from Sunday 22 to Monday 23 September, a journey took place in the municipal buildings. Thus, the technical premises of Croisy-sur-Andelle have suffered a break-in.

The gate was forced and the padlock broken. The theft involved portable power equipment such as hedge trimmers and chainsaws.

They go through the roof

HAS Nolléval Also, the municipal premises were burglarized. Here, the thieves entered the premises through the roof.

They lifted a sheet of metal to enter the building and left through the door, also taking portable electrical equipment.

The Ava animal shelter located in Cuy-Saint-Fiacre was also targeted by the burglars. The thieves set their sights on the safe which contained a sum of money.
