Until now, there was talk of an accidental shooting during an exercise at the Supply 45 recruit school. The victim, aged 22, was hit in the head by a shot while he was in a military vehicle. She was airlifted to hospital, where she died.
A military justice investigation is underway. The first results should be available in several weeks. A spokesperson said Tuesday that it is not customary to have a loaded weapon in a vehicle.
