There were 15 countries performing live from the Malmö Arena stage in Sweden this Tuesday evening to try to obtain their ticket for the Eurovision grand final which will take place on Saturday evening. A mixed show which produced a colorful cocktail of everything that makes Eurovision (falseness, kitsch, exaggerated pop, folklore…), presented by the Swedish-Canadian actress Malin Åkerman and the Swedish comedian and television presenter Petra Mede , highly acclaimed by the public.

Viewers who watched the show on Tipik will have been able to find the voices of Jean-Louis Lahaye and Maureen Louys to comment on it. A show introduced by three artists including SloMo (Spain).

For the first time in the history of the competition, Eurofans will have been able to hear part of the Big Five (the United Kingdom and Germany) and Sweden (host country), for this first semi-final during which the shows more offbeat, original, choreographed, in a always good-natured atmosphere, followed one another to offer a moment in the image of the competition slogan “United by music”.

Crazy performances

We will remember the crazy performances of the Irish singer Bambie Thug with her electronic pop rock metal “Doomsday Blue” in a half-angel, half-demon staging, and the surrealist pop group Windows95man with their “No Rules!”, and its singer who performed throughout… buttocks in the air. We will also kindly point out the falsehoods of the interpreter of Azerbaijan and Iceland Hera Björk, who would undoubtedly have done better not to represent herself after her visit in 2010. Finally, red and white dominated the colors of all the services.

In addition to all fifteen performances, the legend Johnny Logan, winner in 1980 and 1987, made his return to the Eurovision stage, singing “Euphoria”.

At the end of the performance by Luxembourg’s Tali, who closed the show with her “Fighter”, sung in French and English, in a pleasant and interesting light rhythmic pop, the vote was open to the public for around twenty minutes.

Remember that Belgians did not vote this Tuesday evening. They will only vote on Thursday in the second semi-final in which Mustii will represent the country in twelfth position.

Around 11 p.m., after the show by Swedish singer-songwriter Benjamin Ingrosso, the results of the public votes became known, offering the ten coveted places in the grand final on Saturday evening.

The top ten countries selected to join the Big Five and Sweden in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest are: Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Finland, Cyprus, Croatia, Ireland, and Luxembourg.
