Friday April 26, the Uxello cinema offers a film debate around the film “Chronicles of Tehran” directed by Ali Asgari and Alireza Khatami.

This dramatic comedy (1 hour 17 minutes, all audiences) shows nine faces of daily life in Tehran: a man declares the birth of his son, a mother dresses her daughter for the start of the school year, a student is summoned by the principal, a young woman contests a traffic ticket, a young girl goes to a job interview, a young man comes to collect his driving license, an unemployed man responds to an ad, a director asks for filming authorization, a woman tries to find her dog . Life under an authoritarian regime is described with humor and simplicity. A film as impactful as it is essential.

As part of the sessions accompanied by the ADRC (Agency for Regional Cinema Development), Mojdeh Famili will host a debate at the end of the screening.

Arriving in France in 1983, Mojdeh Famili studied cinema at the University of Paris III before working in different fields: training, directing, teaching, editing and subtitling… Installed in 2000 in the South-West, she collaborates with various associations and provides numerous activities for young audiences. A specialist in Iranian cinema, she accompanied several Iranian filmmakers to France, notably Abbas Kiarostami.
