The City’s cultural season kicked off last Saturday at the “Le Méridional” Theater in front of an audience that wanted to discover its main points. Main points that were presented by Isabelle Dubord, Deputy Mayor in charge of Culture, who immediately relied on a trailer (today, the proponents of modernity will say like her “a “teaser” …) produced by the Cultural Service. A presentation that she will then detail on the range that will be offered to the public in fields as varied as theater, music, dance, street arts, etc., etc. The City’s 2024-2025 cultural season will be divided into 2 themes: “Cultures and migrations” for the first, while the second will focus on the world of the Oceans because below the surface and sometimes at abysmal depths a whole living world reigns there and it fascinates many researchers. A conference will also be given by one of them, Michel Segonzac (who lives in Gers and who some call “the bestiologist of the deep sea”); he will come to talk to us about one of his discoveries: the Yeti Squid, or Kiwa Hirsutaa 15 cm crustacean with silk-covered appendages. In short, as we can see, a cultural season in all directions that should satisfy a wide audience. This launch evening continued with a buffet and one of the very first shows of the season “The Martoche Family”; 2 others, as well as an exhibition are scheduled for September.
Prices for the season: €12 full price; reduced price, €10 (for children, under 26s, over 65s, students, job seekers, minimum welfare recipients and media library members); special and subscriber price, €8. And the program (a booklet) is available almost everywhere or on the city’s website (https://www.villefleurance.fr/saison-culturelle).
