Eleven films including three events: Le Club cinema, in Fougères, is participating again this year and until Tuesday January 28 in the Télérama Festival.

Each year, this gives the opportunity to rewatch films released the previous year. A catch-up session or a little movie buff’s pleasure (watching a film you liked again), at a low price: €4 per place upon presentation of the Télérama Pass valid for two people, available in the Télérama magazine or downloadable from the magazine’s website.

The eleven films selected at Fougères

The eleven films selected by the Le Club cinema team are Emilia Perez by Jacques Audiard, Seeds of the wild fig tree by Mohamad Rasoulof, Maria by Pablo Larrain, The Apprentice de Ali Abasi, All we imagine as lightby Kamal Apadia, Mercy by Alain Guiraudie, Le Comte de Monte Cristo by Mathieu Delaporte, A son imageby Thierry de Peretti, The Story of Souleymane by Boris Lojkin, The Substance by Coralie Farjeat, The Ghosts by Jonathan Millet.

  • Sunday January 26 at 4 p.m.: Mariaby Pablo Larrain (preview). Film followed by live broadcast of a meeting with the director. The life of the world’s greatest opera singer, Maria Callas, during her final days in 1977 in .
  • Sunday January 26 at 7 p.m.: Mercyby Alain Guiraudie. Screening followed by live broadcast of a meeting with the director and Catherine Frot. Jérémie returns to Saint-Martial for the funeral of his former baker boss. He stays with Martine, his widow, for a few days. But between a mysterious disappearance, a threatening neighbor and an abbot with strange intentions, his short stay in the village takes an unexpected turn.
  • Monday January 27 at 8 p.m. : The Story of Souleymaneby Boris Lojkine. Screening followed by live broadcast of a meeting with the director and Abou Sangare. As he pedals through the streets of Paris to deliver meals, Souleymane repeats his story. In two days, he must pass his asylum application interview, the key to obtaining papers. But Souleymane is not ready.
