CASABLANCA DRIVERS (10:00 p.m.) (Dance punk – Arts and Craft Mexico – Paris, FR) In 2014, Nicolas Paoletti and Alexandre Diani, Corsican singers and multi-instrumentalists, left their island to settle in Paris, where they brought their indie project with them nascent: the Casablanca Drivers. There, their Music evolves over the course of the EPs, from raw garage rock to dirty and catchy pop. In 2020, this evolution materialized with the release of their first album Super Adventure Club, and a style that they now define as their own: punch drunk pop. With singles like Get Better (the anthem chosen by Citroën for its world campaign) or 205 502 (mixed by James Ireland from the Australian group Pond), the group, supported by their bassist and trusted man David Assolo, managed to prove that he could compose catchy songs without compromising their messy and acidic soul. It is also and above all live that we remember the Casablanca Drivers. After touring the United Kingdom several times, they left for California and Mexico to present their project with the ambition of making the curious dance to revised versions of their titles. Their next album signed by Arts And Craft Mexico will be revealed from the start of the 2024 school year, in the meantime, find them live all over the planet and beyond. It's a playful album, the work of a artist at the top of his art, determined to twist styles and references (Daft Punk, Ennio Morricone, Robert Miles, Vangelis…) to give them a new form. https://nitmusic.bandcamp.com/album/big-bang-puzzle ED MOUNT (8:00 p.m.) (Pop – Futur Records Paris, FR) Ed Mount is the alias of Thibault Chevaillier. As a child of the 90's, he used his teenage fingers on the controller of his Playstation – the Music game – and his guitar on which he tried to cover Red Hot and Beck. Having passed through the jazz conservatory then crossing France with his youth groups, he now explores with Ed Mount the codes of Anglo-Saxon pop (Paul Simon, McCartney) through his surprising harmonies, close to the minimalism of groups like Mild High Club or Benny Sings. When he is not composing in his studio (he is currently preparing his second album), we can encounter his magical touch on stage alongside Malik Djoudi, Lescop or Halo Maud. A musical family that perpetuates the lineage of demanding French pop.
