The Lire à Plobannalec-Lesconil association, which co-manages the media library, invites authors to participate in its 16th short story competition “Sous la plume”, whose jury of 10 people will be chaired by Cléo Bonter, a young author from the region who has just published his second novel, “The Curse of the Rose Geranium”. “Getting involved in a local cultural project linked to writing convinced me, especially with this friendly and intergenerational team! “, she emphasizes.

The competition is aimed exclusively at amateur authors and can award up to five prizes, by category: youth (up to 11 years old inclusive), adolescent (from 12 years old to 17 years old inclusive), adult (18 years old and over). A Finistère prize and possibly an encouragement prize may also be awarded. To participate, authors must respect an imposed introductory text and send their text before April 30. The prizes will be awarded at the end of June.

Reading night Friday

Furthermore, Lire à Plobannalec-Lesconil will organize Reading Night, Friday January 24 from 6:30 p.m. During this festive moment open to all, everyone will be able to read a text with ease. The interventions will be punctuated by some musical moments thanks to the three musicians present.
