Organized jointly by the Pôle Aliénor and the Grand Poitiers conservatory, the festival will bring together postgraduate students, who have reached their ninth year of musical studies, as well as teenage students from the conservatory. “It’s the 18e edition of a festival which takes place every year, always at the same timespecifies Sylvie Saussé, director of the Pôle Aliénor. It is highly anticipated and has a real audience. In addition to the strong partnership between the two organizing structures and the eight partner venues which host the concerts, the interest of this event is to put musicians, particularly those who are destined for this profession, in a professional situation and to promote their work by creating a goal. »

From 16e century to the present

On the conservatory side, director Marie-Jean Guillemette also sees it as an opportunity to raise the profile of her establishment: “The Grand Poitiers Conservatory has a mission to make music known through all the instruments of the orchestrashe recalls. In addition, this annual event truly offers a form of access to culture for all. » A concert is also reserved for students from the Andersen school, in the Couronneries district.

Thirteen free concerts are scheduled across the city of Poitiers. The music offered to the public will allow them to discover or rediscover chamber music repertoires (that is to say in small groups of less than ten instrumentalists) from the 16e century to the present day. You can listen to Pergolesi, Brahms or Beethoven as well as traditional or current music.
The eight partner locations will also be very diverse, leading from the Roof of the World to the University Hospital, via La Locomotive, the university campus, the Sainte- museum, the François-Mitterrand media library or the wedding hall of the town hall.
