A good number of Haut- archers took part in the indoor competitions, qualifying for the French championship, in Suippes (Marne) and Neufchâteau (Vosges), Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 19. With a multitude of podiums on the clock.

In Neufchâteau, where 105 archers were present, Bettancourt, Bourbonne-les-Bains, and Eclaron were engaged. In U11, Emma Soudant (Eclaron) placed third. In U18, Chaumontais Maé Andreotti and Nello Marmeuse won silver and bronze respectively.

Among adults, in seniors “1” recurve, Mylène Soudant (Eclaron) won with 523 points. Bettancourtoise Lucie Balazot, with 512 points, climbs to the third step of the podium. Among the men, Gaël Jeanniot (Chaumont) took first place with 544 points.

In seniors “2”, Brice Soudant (Eclaron) finished fourth, falling twelve points off the podium. Bourbonnais Stéphane Quentin and Chaumontais Christophe Marmeuse rank seventh and ninth respectively.

In seniors “3”, Jean-Claude Demesy (Bourbonne) finished thirteenth. In senior “2” compound archery, Elie Collobert (Chaumont) took the victory. Bourbonnaise Jessica Parent-Jankovic, in senior “3” compound archery, took third place.

Among the men, Eclaronnais Jacky Soudant finished in fifth place, fifteen points from the podium. In bare arch, Léna Lurquin (Chaumont) took first place in U18, while Claude Dobbelaere (Chaumont) took silver in adults, Dominique Lavey (Bourbonne) bronze and Etienne Saillet (Chaumont) fourth place.

Nine podiums in the Marne for Haut-Marne archers

In Suippes, among 151 archers, the Haut-Marnais also knew how to do well and aim particularly well. In U11, Liam Broutin (SLO Bettancourt) was the only one entered in his category and established a score of 254 points.

SLO Bettancourt shone among the young people, with silver for Léane Broutin in U13, Esteban Myaux in U15, Nathan Bouveret in U18 and Elisa in U21, finishing, with 504 points, only a small unit behind the first, Lucie Laurent (Rethel).

In U15, Mouhammad Bettahar, with 507 points, won the title. Among the girls, Chloé Marcher took third place.

On the adults' side, Giulia Vallelian (SLO Bettancourt) took second place. Her comrades Khawla Khedaioui, Julina Ounissi and Sarra Ali Alvarez ranked sixth, seventh and eighth respectively.

In seniors “1” recurve, Bettancourtois Wilfried De Lat and Alexandre Michelon finished seventh and twelfth. In seniors “2”, Monica Vallelian (SLO Bettancourt) took fourth place with 476 points, falling three lengths from the podium occupied by Patricia Babel (Bézannes). Her comrade Malika Bettahar finished in sixth place.

Among the men, Eclaronnais Jean-Luc Chevillion won with 564 points. Bettancourtois Maxime Broutin and Christophe Vallelian finished in 18th and 19th places. In seniors “3”, Florence Masson (Eclaron) takes fourth place.

In senior “2” compound archery, Christophe Keller (Eclaron) narrowly missed the podium with 563 points, three less than third place Jérôme Thiry (Vrigne-aux-). His club friend Xavier Masson ranks tenth. Finally in adult barebow, Florence Masson finished eighth and Xavier Masson eleventh.
