The nature of agricultural calamities was recognized for the losses of funds on hazel, walnut, almond and plum trees at the National Committee for Risk Management in Agriculture on December 11, 2024 and for the entire department. Producers affected by these productions can submit a request for compensation no later than February 17, 2025 to the Departmental Directorate of Territories and the Sea (DDTM).

1- Who can be compensated?

Any agricultural operator (or owner) with fire insurance covering the main elements of the farm. If the operator provides proof that there is no operational element insurable against fire, he can claim compensation if he is guaranteed against hail or mortality of livestock at the time of the disaster. Simply taking out “home” insurance and/or “civil liability” insurance does not allow you to benefit from compensation from the FNGRA.

2- Compensable damage

Losses of funds correspond to the replacement of hazel, walnut, almond and plum trees that died and were destroyed following excess water from October 2023 to May 2024.
The value of the loss of funds must represent at least €1000. The amount of damage is estimated at a flat rate based on the department's scale of agricultural disasters.
The compensation rate for loss of funds is 25% of the amount of damage.
