The first 2025 exhibition as part of the Millennium of the City of Caen () gives pride of place to the Caennais.

1,000 photos of portraits of residents aged from 6 months to 90 years old that can be seen at Caen town hall from Monday January 20 to Sunday March 9, 2025.

The exhibition A Thousand Portraits for the Millennium was produced from summer 2024 by the photographer artists of the Surface Sans Cible collective.

1,000 anonymous

In 2024, a call was launched to bring together 1,000 anonymous people representing all of the city’s neighborhoods. The only condition was to live or work in Caen

During the inauguration on Saturday January 18, 2025, more than 600 people came, welcomed by the mayor, Aristide Olivier.

Faces which will also be exhibited in each district of the city.

From January 20 to March 9, scriptorium of the town hall in Caen. Entrance €4 and free for Caen residents. Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. / 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (open on weekends during school holidays in all regions). The exhibition catalog bringing together the 1000 portraits is available for 15 euros.
