Tech billionaires are getting closer to President-elect Donald Trump, whether it is Elon Musk since the start of his last campaign or Mark Zuckerberg, director of Meta who now advocates “free speech”. Sam Altman is no exception and shares a letter received by the Democrats.

Sam Altman shares letter from Democrats
Senators Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bennet sent a letter to Sam Altman, to whom we owe ChatGPT, in which they are concerned about his rapprochement with Donald Trump for “avoid scrutiny, limit regulation and curry favor”.
The Democrats’ letter notably highlights Sam Altman’s donation of $1 million to Donald Trump’s inauguration fund. The OpenAI leader shared this message, explaining: “Funny, they never sent me any for my contributions to the Democrats…”
-The billionaire adds that this donation of one million dollars is “a personal contribution as you indicate; I am confused about these issues since my company has not made any decisions.”
Sam Altman is far from the only leader in the tech world to provide financial support to Donald Trump. Other billionaires include Jeff Bezos (Amazon), Mark Zuckerberg (Meta) and Elon Musk (Tesla, Starlink, SpaceX, Neuralink). The leader of TikTok, banned in the United States following a Supreme Court decision, also praised the president-elect. All players in the sector are turning to the new leader of the country.
