The Winter Book Fair will take place on Sunday January 19 in Montgiscard. A week before this event, the team which organizes the event offers its now traditional “pre-show evening”.
Saturday January 11, at 8:30 p.m. in the Faubourg de Sers room, it’s theater which will be on the program this year, with the arrival of the Toulouse company On the Flower of Words. This troupe will perform its latest creation entitled Until I can’t take it anymore.
Quality of texts and staging
Born in 2006 as an extension of a theater workshop, this company currently has nine actors. Her tastes have until now taken her towards current authors (Arthur Miller, Mattei Visniec, Jean-Michel Ribes, Hanoch Levin…), with the main requirement being the quality of the texts that she will share with the public and that she works under the direction of a professional director.
“We want,” assert the actors, “to provide pleasure to the spectator, to make them laugh or smile but also establish questioning and reflectioncommunicate to the public the imagination or the reality hidden behind the dialogues. » Pleasure for the spectators, but also pleasure for the actors: “The efficiency of the work is not incompatible with the pleasure of being together, quite the contrary, and the history of the troupe, born under the sign of “Friendship continues under the same star”, underlines the company.
A succession of rounds
The piece they will perform that evening, Until I can’t take it anymorewas created based on the texts of Boxon(s) can’t take it anymore of Stéphane Jaubertie et Le Murmonde of Serge Kribusdirected by Florence Bardel.
“In this choral pieceexplain the actors, life presents itself as a succession of rounds during which individuals receive more blows than they give. Both in the intimate sphere and in the work sphere, through ultra-liberal contamination or participatory servitude, low blows are rife, perfidies are legion… All this at the expense of each person’s self-esteem and well-being. While society commands us to go against our deep humanity and become the executioner of others, the piece questions our ability to accept the unacceptable. »
