A double Big Mac, but above all, an Oreo-flavored Coke or a pistachio sundae. Seven new products are arriving at McDonald’s from this Tuesday, January 7 as part of an operation alongside the opening of the Ligue 1 transfer window, of which the fast food chain has been a sponsor since the start of the season.
The global fast-food giant announced in a press release that seven products will be available in all its restaurants in France without exception until February 17. This commercial initiative thus extends by two weeks the dates of the winter transfer window, which will end on February 3 at 11 p.m. after having started on January 1.
Swiss and Italian classics
Among the classics known among our neighbors, we note the Double Big Mac, the brand’s historic burger in an expanded version, marketed in Switzerland.
As for desserts, flagship products from the other side of the Alps are also on the menu, with the arrival of the pistachio McFlurry and the pistachio Sundae, popular in Italy. Finally for the drink, you can taste McFizz, a green apple flavored sparkling soda, usually available in Middle Eastern countries.
There will also be popular hits in Morocco, such as fries and potatoes in a “melted cheddar and Crispy Onions” version, a tray where the potatoes are covered with cheese and fried onions.
The most disconcerting product is undoubtedly a drink, Coca-Cola without sugar Oreo flavor. Yes, yes, like the famous chocolate biscuit. The soda has already been marketed in several countries, including Germany and Australia.
This is not the first time that the fast food chain has carried out a commercial operation riding on the success of popular products abroad. During the summer, seven new products in France were offered in all the brand’s restaurants on the sidelines of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Your choice: a “Greek Mac” from Cyprus, a Canadian burger with maple syrup or another Coke served with vanilla ice cream, popular in the Philippines.
