A unique event of its kind in the region of Quimperlé, the authors’ salon, created in 2019 by the Mona Kerloff association, is however still struggling to find its audience. Since this audience does not come to it, the 2025 show will seek it out by becoming itinerant. “It’s a suggestion from the authors that we consult after each edition,” says Liam Fauchard, co-founder and co-organizer of this gathering. After six editions, we will now alternate between the land, the coast and the city center. »

The 7th edition will therefore be held in Bannalec, whose municipality has given “an excellent welcome” to the project. It is in the Jean-Moulin room that the selected authors will meet on Sunday March 2. Authors who, unlike the public, remain particularly faithful to the concept of this general trade fair which gives them pride of place. “Although two of the exhibitors live outside , the objective is to promote regional authors, without a headliner or publishing house which would monopolize the majority of visitors. Our selection system also ensures a regular renewal of exhibitors and a significant proportion of young authors, supplemented by the faithful. »

40 exhibitors maximum

Liam Fauchard specifies that, whatever your status, you can still register. The friendly atmosphere, dear to the organizers, is ensured by the self-imposed gauge of 40 exhibitors “which is the limit of a human-sized show by allowing real contact with visitors”.

And, as a nod to the association of visual artists Mona Kerloff (also a publishing house), three artists were invited to exhibit: Odile Favrault (Breton landscapes), Fanny Pastre (photos of plant pareidolia) and Yolande Mecca (acrylics).
