To celebrate the composer’s 80th birthday Valéry Arzoumanovthe cultural commission of Eu, in Seine-Maritimeorganizes two concerts on January 10 and 11, 2025, at the Théâtre du Château.

Valéry Arzoumanov, Franco-Russian composer, was born in 1944 in Kotchmes, in the Komi Republic.

He lived in Vorkuta until 1958, before leaving for Leningrad, where he studied violin and composition.

In 1974, he emigrated to and entered the National Conservatory of in . He lives in Normandie since 1976.

Its catalog is rich with more than 300 workswith particular attention to chamber music, piano music, as well as vocal and choral music.

The program

This tribute will begin on Friday, January 10, at 8 p.m., at the Théâtre du Château d’Eu with a piano recital. Matéo Dhédin will play works by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Rachmaninov and Valéry Arzoumanov, his grandfather.

To mark Valéry Arzoumanov’s 80th birthday and his 50th birthday in France, several of his friends, renowned performers, will perform his works on Saturday January 11 at 8 p.m.

Will be present: Sergueï Milstein, Nathalia Milstein, Sergueï Milstein JR, Natalia Tolstaia, David Louwerse, Maria-Carmen Barboro, Alain Rizoul and Sergueï Vladimirov.
