CES 2025 — We saw the articulated arm of the Roborock Saros Z70 and the demonstration is fascinating

The Roborock Saros Z70 stands out not only for its cleaning performance, but also for its OmniGrip articulated arm. The latter, capable of moving on five axes, can grasp objects weighing up to 300 grams, such as socks or slippers. Once the object has been grasped using its integrated gripper, the robot moves it to a location previously defined in the application to place it there. Once delivered, the arm retracts into the body of the robot, so that it continues cleaning the room.

A stunning demonstration

During the presentation at CES 2025, we were able to observe the Saros Z70 in action. A sock was deliberately placed on the ground before starting the vacuum. The robot then complied, then, when approaching an obstacle, it automatically deployed its articulated arm to pick it up and transport it precisely to the drop-off point. This operation, carried out completely fluidly, gives an overview of its functionalities.

Sophisticated vision with multiple cameras

To accomplish these tasks, the Saros Z70 is equipped with several strategically placed cameras: on the front to detect obstacles, on the top to analyze the overall environment, and even on the articulated arm to guarantee safety and precision of manipulations .

These sensors allow the robot to ensure that the object is correctly picked up and placed, without risk of falling or damage.

A high-end model

In addition to this innovation, the Roborock Saros Z70 stands out for its high-end performance: suction power of 22,000 Pa, adaptive brushes, and rotating mops that rise when approaching carpets. Its docking station provides automated maintenance, including cleaning mops at 80°C. With a launch planned for the first half of the year, it remains to be seen whether its price will match its many revolutionary features.
