Since he was little, Gaël Brinet has had two passions, magic and fighter planes which have always made him dream. Two passions that he brings together in the show Mirage which he presents on Saturday January 25 on the stage of the Zénith d’Orléans.
How did your passion for magic begin?
“It all started around the age of 12 when I bought a “I love magic” kit from the newsagent. I remember, it cost me 49 francs. It was a booklet and a video cassette which allowed you to start magic with very simple tricks and above all easy to reproduce.
At that time, I also watched magic shows on TV, and I really admired David Copperfield who was then multimedia with his world tour where he crossed the Wall of China, made the Statue of Liberty disappear… See him performer, his extraordinary illusions, were an important source of inspiration for me.”
And your passion for aviation?
“It also dates from this period. I made planes, paper or plastic models. I went to see air shows near Bricy, Châteaudun…”
What made you lean a little more towards magic?
