Last Sunday, after the screening of the film Twenty Gods by Julie Courvoisier, the Le Tivoli cinema team invited spectators to a Comté tasting. An event that was a hit: “We are happy to receive so many audiences for this Comté tasting screening. We organized it in partnership with our local cheesemaker, Pierre Bonhomme, manager of the Atelier des fromages. There were already many spectators at the two previous sessions, but this evening the room was full. And for all those who were unable to get places, we are rescheduling three sessions in January,” announce the association’s volunteers.
After the screening, it was around the sets with three kinds of county that the spectators discussed the story of this young man of 18, Totone, who likes to party with his friends, becomes an orphan, and must then take care of his little sister and who, to earn his living, sets out to make the best county in Jura. “I really liked the story but I found the ending a little disappointing,” says Iris. “It’s a beautiful tale!” The images are beautiful but there are too many clichés,” remarks Jean-François. “This film is touching, it’s a great example of responsibility assumed,” says Colette.
Upcoming screenings of the film Twenty Gods : Friday January 24 (8:30 p.m.), Saturday January 25 (8:30 p.m.), Sunday January 26 (2:30 p.m.) and Tuesday January 28 (8:30 p.m.).
