It has become the spectacle of spectacles, constantly repeated in new versions: the adventures of King Mufasa and his son Simba, royal family among the wild beasts, have the scope of a new mythology, which brings together all kinds of lessons about life, from the lightest to the most crucial, in one superb show.

At 9 p.m. on M6. Animated film by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff (USA, 1994). 1h50. Rebroadcast.

The tandem formed by Robert Redford and Paul Newman made legendary this smiling western where the two stars portray a fanciful version of the famous outlaws who sowed terror in America in the 1900s. Action, humor, seduction, generosity: the success was phenomenal.

At 8:55 p.m. on Arte. Film by George Roy Hill (USA, 1969). With Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Katharine Ross. 1h50. Rebroadcast.
