The Golden Disc Awards cancel their broadcasts which were planned live.
Following the tragic Jeju Air plane crash on December 29, the various festivals and end-of-year ceremonies are canceled or have their live broadcasts canceled because a 7-day national mourning period has been announced in South Korea. South out of respect for the victims of the tragedy.

On December 31, the Golden Disc Awards Secretariat announced:
“This is the Golden Disc Awards Secretariat.
First of all, we would like to express our deepest condolences to the victims of the recent plane crash and their bereaved families.
In solidarity with the nation mourning this great tragedy, the live broadcasts of the 39th Golden Disc Awards, originally scheduled for January 4-5, 2025, will be replaced by pre-recorded broadcasts. New broadcast dates will be announced later.
Additionally, red carpet events, which were scheduled for the same days, were canceled. Specific details regarding ticket adjustments and related matters will be provided separately by resellers.
Once again, we offer our sincere prayers to the victims and extend our deepest condolences to their families. »
