Prince Alexander of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn has announced the engagement of his youngest son, Prince Peter. The princely family relayed the happy news by sharing a photo of Prince Peter and his fiancée, Yurina Hattori-Roche.

This December 18, the princely family of Sayn and its head, Prince Alexander, decided to make Prince Peter’s engagement public. Prince Peter, born in 1992, is finally engaged to his long-time partner, Yurina Hattori-Roche. Yurina is an independent curator and artistic advisor, based in Tokyo and Los Angeles. Yurina Hattori-Roche graduated in Art business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York and has worked in major galleries both in the United States and Asia. Prince Peter is the founder of TeamFirst, a consultancy business for entrepreneurs setting up shop in Japan. He is also involved in the development of a chain of Schmatz restaurants in Tokyo, which offers German beer.
Yurina Hattori-Roche also shared photos of the proposal on her Instagram account, receiving numerous royal congratulations in return. ” Finally !!! Prince Peter of Sayn is the seventh and last child of Prince Alexander of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn and Countess Gabriella of Schönborn-Wiesentheid. His older brother is Hereditary Prince Heinrich, who has been married since 2003. His first sister Princess Alexandra, second brother Casimir, second sister Filippa and third brother Ludwig are all married. Only his last sister, Princess Maria Sophie, is not yet married. Twenty-one years separate Prince Peter from his older brother, Hereditary Prince Heinrich.
The county of Sayn was established in 1387, located in the vicinity of Cologne. In 1607, the county was divided into several territories, distributed among several brothers. In 1834, King Frederick William III of Prussia granted the princely title to the branch of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn (established in Sayn), a branch of which was also incorporated into the Russian nobility.
