After an interruption in 2024, the IMT Mines Albi photo festival returns in 2025. This third edition, organized by the school’s photo club, will be held in the Arcé room from Saturday January 11 to Sunday January 19.
The students invite all amateurs or professionals to participate in the competition whose theme will be “Industry”. With your camera or a simple phone, whether you have a keen eye for taking pictures or just want to freeze the moment, you can submit one to three photos. Once selected, they will be hung in the Arcé room from January 11 to 19 for the exhibition and submitted to a public vote. Different prizes will be awarded. To participate, you must register on the festival website using the link https://festivalphotoimtminesalbi.wp.imt.fr/. Registrations are open until December 31.
On the occasion of this festival, a photo marathon is also organized on January 11. “People who wish to participate can meet at 2 p.m. on the square of the Albi cathedral,” says Léon Speltzer, head of the photo club. “We will propose a theme at the last minute and everyone can go photo hunting during the event. ‘afternoon”. You will also need to register on the site for this marathon.
Albimage the Albi photo club joined the initiative. Just like the national scene which will offer on January 17 at 6 p.m., at the Arcé room, a screening of two films Ernest Cole photographer then Malaka. An exchange with photographers and organizers will follow.
The closing of the festival on January 19 at 6:30 p.m. will be the opportunity to award the prizes for the competition and the photo marathon.
