We are proud of Rosalie… which can be translated as “we have lost Rosalie” is the title of the unpublished play written by Michel Cerf, known as l’Micou, which will be performed next spring by the troupe of the Amicale des patoisants d’Ajoie et du Clos of the .

“It’s a plot full of humor and drama which will recall the old days when, in bistros, we happily told stories from people’s lives which often ended in a beautiful way,” explains the president of the association. Michael Stauffer.

A young Buret directing

In the three-act comedy, the public will also discover hunters poaching wild boar, a traveling pottery seller from Bonfol and a whole host of local characters. A dozen actresses and actors have already started rehearsals, reports the president, under the direction of young director Lucas Etique.

Le Buret is no stranger to the Jura theater scene, since he is president of the Delémont troupe Les Funambules. He notably co-signed, alongside Marinel Mittempergher, the production of the play The Suicideperformed last year by the Compagnie Vol de Nuit and co-written, with Célien Milani, Les Timides, a police comedy performed by the said Funambules in 2023. Enough to bring new life to the dialect scene.

The choir at the opening, with the children

The traditional ones work of the Amicale will open as usual with some patois songs performed by the choir, directed by Jean-Marc Christe and accompanied by Martine Caillet on the piano. Students from the district’s patois classes will also join the choir this year.

As in recent years, and the measure is appreciated, underlines Michel Stauffer, complicated or uncommon words will again be projected on a screen next to the stage.

In total, between 1500 and 1700 spectators, lovers of witticisms, music and theater, all in patois, are expected at the Maison des oeuvres de Boncourt, from March 30 to April 13.
